Life Gets Underway (NOT in the Way)
After all of the grandiose plans had been laid to be beach bums with a business, we found out that...yep, you guessed it...we had a baby on the way. The oldest, Analisse, was soon followed by the youngest, Ashley, and it was all we could do after that to keep up with what life was throwing at us. Our dreams of beaches and games turned to the reality of bills and groceries, but we loved every minute of it. Yeah, OK, almost every minute of it, but we truly wouldn't trade a moment and we loved, laughed, and lived.....and we planned.
The Next Beginning
So, we held on through the pandemic of 2020, the turbulent return to semi-normalcy of 2021, the financial crash of 2022, and the recovery (at least personally) of 2023. All the while planning, in JJ Heller's words, our Grand Adventure. Thus was born TAAB expeditions!
To the Point
TAAB expeditions, the idea, was born of our wanting some adventure, finally having the time (or making the time) to do so, and being able to fund it. TAABX the outfit is simply our small effort dedicated to:
- HAVING FUN
- Offering some education for slightly older adventurers to learn from so they can get out and enjoy too
- Sharing our equipment learnings to hopefully help our followers save money and make good equipment decisions
- Providing relevant reviews, based on our own experiences, of hiking opportunities, paddling trails, camping sites, and just good old fashioned scenic spots as we go along
